@ivory #bugreport I noticed if I use the "reply from" picker and choose to reply from an account on a different instance it doesn't carry over account suffixes (I.e. @[instance]).

For example: if I find a post on posted by someone with an @ mastodon.social handle and reply to it using the picker from my handle on infosec.exchange, it will only carry over the @[handle] and not @[handle]@[instance] which is needed to properly address that account from the infosec.exchange instance.

If there's a bright spot in #threads federating it's being able to follow Soren. He publishes daily (running for over a year straight 🤯) "funny app ideas" and is almost the sole reason I've even popped onto threads over the past few months. Now, I don't need to! The test email sends just fine during the setup wizard but then nothing from there =(.

It would just be so petty for something that has a sliver of the userbase Instagram does.

I don't for the life of me understand why #Bluesky doesn't just become a #Mastodon instance or an #ActivityPub alternative. It should ditch ATProto and embrace the ActivityPub #fediverse. It can't sustain itself this way without turning into another enshittified version of #twitter down the road. Just join ActivityPub so that we can have 5 mil more users; so that Bsky users can communicate with ppl on Lemmy, Mastodon, etc; and so that you can become crowdfunded a la Wikipedia and Mastodon, etc.
