$90 million raised in March ( raised $65 million)

$192 million cash-on-hand (Trump has $93 million on hand)

The campaign raised $187 million in the first quarter of 2024.

@GottaLaff I'm confused about the role of money in politics. One the one hand, it's certainly a (grossly) vital component, and there's a strong correlation between the amount of money raised and spent, and political wins. On The Other Hand, no amount of money Trump spends is going to make me vote for him; same for Biden vis my redneck neighbors down the street. Is the gist that both campaigns are spending millions per capita on a few 'undecided' voters in a few districts in a few swing states?

Federal judge #AileenCannon on Thurs rejected #Trump's argument that the #ClassifiedDocuments case should be tossed out because he viewed the material as his #personal records.

#Trump argued that his retention of highly sensitive documents was authorized under a the #PRA.

Back on the road to California. That means 📱connection is spotty, can’t often reply, but I try to read all replies & post news alerts.

I say this every time: Returning to US from 🇨🇦 is culture shock, meaning being confronted by Trump/religious signs, banners, billboards. It’s stomach churning.

It’ll be a relief to move permanently in late May.

Yes, Doomers, 🇨🇦 has its issues. So does every country in the world. But 🇨🇦 currently feels safer.

@GottaLaff A couple months ago, one of my patients became acutely confused and wandered out of his house, out into the streets. He was an elderly black man, and almost deaf. My first thought was, "Someone will call 911 and he's going to get shot!" I drove around until I found him, and called EMS. So good outcome, scary country.

@GottaLaff Jack Smith impresses me as one smart cookie. Certainly far smarter than me, also I believe he is far smarter than Judge Cannon who (whatever else one may say) does not appear to be a genius legal mind. He may be playing his hand at a disadvantage, but I believe he is playing a very sharp game here.

JUST IN: 's defense team sent a premotion letter to Justice Merchan clarifying the express terms of the , saying that contrary to the People's suggestion, "the Court cannot 'direct' Pres Trump to do something that the gag order does not require."

IOW: Trump's lawyers now argue that not only is Judge Merchan's daughter NOT covered by the gag order, but also that she SHOULD NOT be covered.

The appeal isn't a surprise-- defendants asked McAfee for permission to appeal, which he granted earlier this month.
