"The Twitter founder unfollowed more than 2,000 accounts, and now is only following Elon Musk, Edward Snowden, and Stella Assange. Meanwhile, he chimed in on Kendrick and Drake’s rap beef quite a bit. He also seemed to call X a “freedom technology” in a tweet on Saturday, warning users to not depend on corporations to grant them rights."
Wow... I'm glad I deleted my Twitter account long ago. Because wtf?
Replay Crew! We had a fun romp through tech headlines this week! https://somegadgetguy.com/b/44j
Jack Dorsey is no longer on the board of BlueSky. We're wrapping up the closing arguments in Google's anti-trust case. The Rabbit R1 is an app. Sony's marketing materials for the next XPERIA leak.
And we should probably chat about this next iPad thing-y...
From The Verge: Jack Dorsey says he’s no longer on Bluesky’s board
> There’s seemingly no evidence that Dorsey is off the Bluesky board yet, apart from his post. The company still lists him as a board member, along with its CEO, Jay Graeber, and Jabber / XMPP inventor Jeremie Miller.
Jack Dorsey is crawling back to Twitter, licking Elon’s boots, calling the site “freedom technology”. In case anyone wondered about Jack’s political alignment: it’s far right, techno-fascist probably.
My neighbor told me yesterday that she believes the buyers of a Tesla #vehicle are just Beta Testers. And to make it worse, Tesla buyers pay a shit ton of money to be a #Beta Tester for a multi-Billionaire.
I'm having a hard time refuting her beliefs about this issue.
I feel like I'm talking like a recovering addict, but most of my friends (my offline friends, but who live on the other side of the planet) are still all on #Twitter (and never settled here) and with Facebook becoming unusable, I talk with them less and less, and well... I miss them... I went to my Twitter account today, and they were all there and I don't know what to do. Should I reactivate an account there and have it private or something? I don't want to, though. Why can't they come here?
When people ask why I waste my time with this account, it is because of this. He is freaking dangerous.
I know I will not change anything by myself, but ... he is freaking dangerous.
I just wonder why in the world a publication that publishes this still has a link to Twitter, but not to their Threads account, or an account on Mastodon. Thoughts? @motherjonesmag
@WeAreCanProud#BREAKING: The Canadian military has announced that they will be replacing their logo with whatever this is as part of a rebranding effort.
