Why pulling out of Russia is no easy feat for European businesses.

Many foreign companies continue to do business in Russia and give various explanations for this. And those who decide to withdraw from Russia face a lengthy and difficult procedure.

Some companies that initially wanted to stay in Russia - and cited various reasons for doing so - are now deciding to pack their bags more than a year after the invasion of Ukraine.

Putin obviously for weaponising in the invasion of .

Successive governments for not and buildings faster?

Voters and consumers for not demanding and a resilient robust society?

Ultimately perhaps blame is not constructive: but I feel this analysis does show where to focus efforts

There's a new wave of books and shows about life in the German Democratic Republic — colloquially known as East Germany. Books such as Jenny Erpenbeck's "Kairos" and the Netflix thriller "Kleo" have been accused of evoking nostalgia for life under the Stasi. Author Katja Hoyer disagrees, saying it's important to look at the spectrum of experiences that unfolded behind the Iron Curtain.

Why Europe is chronically running out of meds

Over the past 20 y, drug shortages have increased dramatically in Europe. Governments use the war and the energy crisis to cover up the real causes: globalised production, pricing strategies, fixed quotas or the elimination of full-line wholesalers and parallel exports

7 countries have travel advisories against us because of the gun violence problem and its the Republicans fault for fucking this country up. I really wish they could spend 1 month in Europe to see that people are happier because they don't have a pandemic of gun violence. I spent 1 month in years ago and I felt safer than I do here.
