The Duo will have a CD drive, but I don't have any NEC stuff. Is it possible that FPGA cores will let you play PS1/Sega CD/Saturn stuff on it via the real disk?
Also how collectable are the games for the systems the Duo naturally supports? Thanks to ebay and COVID "Entrepreneurs" I know I have high prices ahead of me in any system but...
I've heard conflicting stuff on the Analogue Pocket:
Can I savestate in Pokemon games (I'm playing Crystal) or will it only save 1 box of pokemon?
My save batteries are all dead on GB, so I'm trying to play 'em with savestates instead.
I'll probably get them fixed some time, but I'll probably have to find a local guy with the know-how. I don't have the tools or experience and don't want to wreck my real carts.
My wife and I tested our new old camera from 1954 that produces square images on a 35 mm film, so on a roll of 36 you can squeeze in over 50 images! (We used the cheapest color film available) 📸
So I bit the bullet and bought into the Analogue Pocket hype. Got a yellow one from their most recent solid color series, plan to investigate making the rear look like a Famicom cartridge.
My main motivation was to have a quick cycle for testing my own Gameboy homebrew on hardware with a real link cable, something you can't do easily with an emulator.
I'm back to living after a tough experience. This time a cute bunny, another photo from the same roll as before, more material already waiting to be published! 😊
This is one of my favorite shots from a recent photo shoot. In the center at the end is the Starorobocinski Wierch, the highest peak in the Western Tatras in Poland.

We've just returned from our trip to the Netherlands, and I'm starting to post new photos! Of course, there was no way to not take a film roll and an analog camera. 📷 It was the first time I shoot photos with a rangefinder, if you like it, please stay tuned because there will be more to come! I took this shot in Amsterdam with the Zorki 4 camera (an old Soviet rangefinder) from 1966. 🥰

I HATE this business model, but I do like the analogue pocket. Went and got a backup plus it's a nice color.
Would have preferred the see through but whatever
The dock is nice BTW but either put it in ONCE insanely carefully or put a little clear sticker at the bottom. It WILL scratch your device if docked wrong, and it's very hard to get in right. Extremely disappointed considering the prices involved.

A little disapointed in my #analogue pocket dock. Be very careful seating it, it does not very naturally fit in and fall on the USB C connector, got some minor scratches in my several attempts to get it in just right

#retrogaming Who's got SHORT #gameboy homebrew, romhack, underrated, or translated games I can play on my #analogue Pocket?
That's technically anything below a PS1 with an FGPA core, more or less, though GB fits the aesthetic more.
Got it set up on it's dock finally, it's cool but WOOF be careful with your dock you WILL scratch the bottom if it's unprotected and you just push it in.
#analogue#analoguepocket anyone having safe state/wake problems (specifically in spiritualized GBA) since the 2.2 update? It's corrupting the .sav file too. Never had this before, not for GBA
Edit: Lucky me, Pokemon gen 3 saves backup saves, so even though both save AND savestate were messed up, I only lost maybe an hour?
Crap, missed out on the Analogue Pocket adapter sets, are they planning to make more? I was waiting to get the Game Gear one and test it out, I just finally got my game gear games.
The adapter does block the L/R buttons, but not a huge deal since GG games (and I think the others with adapters) don't use L/R anyway
Analogue is shipping its TurboGrafx console and restocking Pockets (www.theverge.com)
Just in time for the holidays.
