What if Mastodon had a way to save the ALT text you entered each time you used a new image. So if you used the same image later, it would some how know what you used the last time and give you the option to automatically use that instead of having to type something each and every time.
Seems to me there would be some way to be able to do this easily and to save all of us time from having to type the same thing for ALT text on a regular basis.

Интересно, сколько ещё таких тупых инцидентов должно произойти чтобы кто-то начал работать над этим вопросом?
И да, я каждый раз смотрю с ухмылкой на заявления в стиле что "а вот в корпоративных сетях со спамом тоже не борются - я там ботов видел!".
Этим людям стоило бы понять, что то, что они видели - это остатки, которые проскользнули через работающий антиспам, а то, что они видят тут - это просто шалости каких-то малолетних долбоёбов, от котороых и прикрыться-то нечем кроме разрывов связности в сети 👏
К сожалению, большинство довольствуется поверхностными наблюдениями.

As a beekeeper and someone who has spend a very long time in the technology and startup industry, I have great doubts on the economic feasibility of AI-powered beekeeping. Random thought on risk analysis: I've noticed that people discount the actual risks if they enjoy or are emotionally invested in an activity; that measurement (instead of being driven by actual odds, are driven by emotion). All too often, if someone enjoys an activity, they IGNORE the risks (and refuse to consider safety measures), because they've fooled themselves into thinking there is no risk (rather than quantified risk). #random#risk#thoughts
That isn't to say that people don't act in problematic ways, but when it comes to creating a better world, we have to change the way systems operate in order to see change in people at scale.
When I started an acct on the Fediverse back in Nov '22, I gave updates on what I thought, beginning with a 24 hr update, I had given up all social media awhile back, so all of this was new to me. I still have no other social media.This may be annoying, if it is, forgive me, mute/block me, whatever.
24 hrs in a new server/migration:
The positives: The character count, I like 4000. I think many other servers have more than 500 at this point, which is what I was used to.
The negatives: I'm stumbling through things. The antenna feature to "follow hashtags," right now, I'll pass. While its supposedly more intuitive, I liked them being integrated in to my home TL. I am using the PWA "app" but am still not receiving notifications (I re-inabled them). My posts did not follow, as they were supposed to. All of the words I had muted, which made my feed even more enjoyable, are back.
Current take away: Changing servers sucks. Some of it may be operater error, I fully claim this. However, I cannot be the minority that likes what they like. I still plan to go back to a Mastodon server, while nothing is perfect, it's what I am familiar with that resonates most.
Change servers with caution if you are someone who likes routine & "knowing what you know," if not, change with abandon!

Perseverance is admirable. Yet, it's also brave to say "I can't do this anymore" and make a plan to walk away from situations and people that are toxic and unhealthy.
Was watching a movie last night. It showed a bunch of female friends sitting around, drinking wine, having funny and deep conversations, laughing and general conviviality. Had to ask myself: Is this really a thing for most women or another Hollywood trope that doesn't really exist? I'd really like to know. #thoughts

Sometimes I forget that on such an amazing planet with over 2 million amazing species that we're the ONLY ones lucky enough to have to work a job to live on it.
So many people have this fantasy of getting rich enough to have a little farm. We all need that connection to the land, a slower way of life and a little social connection but we are stuck in these modern jobs that pay the bills and don’t have the resources to own a farm. What if we had appartments and coworking spaces in proximity to farms/urban farms, and people could spend an hour or so each day doing some farm work, then do their remote job the rest of the day? #thoughts#farm#community
Reflecting on the past month, I've decided to make some changes. Farewell to #meta, #google, #X, and even #Microsoft. Transitioning to services like #protonmail and embracing the #fediverse has been surprisingly smooth for me. And it could be for others, friends, and families online. All we need is a spark of conversation, introducing folks to spaces they might not have explored yet.
