@Akzel I used Xbox 360 controllers for like a decade. They're the best.

Recently I switched to PS5 dualsense and despite all the additional features, I'm a little disappointed. They're heavy, the batteries are built-in and they only last a few hours. And pc games often only have Xbox controller prompts, so you have to remember A=X, X=◻️

I'm playing on Linux and I've had no issues setting up any controllers.

@alexyeahdude I like the Dualsense a lot myself, but I definitely agree about the battery. It being built-in and only lasting a few hours are by far the biggest issues I have with it

And yeah, same here. No issues setting up controllers on Linux. They all kinda just work

@Akzel I really wanted the steam controller to be a thing, was very excited when I got mine, but it’s too big and hurts my hands. 😣

Xbox series controller is basic but a well-optimised design after so many iterations with a feel that I really like.

Never tried the PS5 controller. I assumed there wasn’t much point because its fancy features wouldn’t be supported in any PC games…?

@KaiEkkrin For me, the PS5 controller has been a really nice alternative to the Steam Controller, since it has gyro and the touchpad.

I'm not sure on any of the other extra features. I know some PS games have come to Steam, but I don't have most of them (I should test HZD, tho.. 🤔 )

dunno how well it works outside of Steam either, other than emulators—where it does work well

(also worth noting that all of my experience with it is on Linux, not Windows)

I find the DualShock too uncomfortable to transition from the analog to the other buttons.

I keep trying out the Steam Controller, but the lack of the right-hand stick limits the games it can realistically be used on.

Xbox has always felt comfortable to me.

@Akzel Xbox for me. In all honesty, that's just because that's what I'm used to.
