idle,

It has been 10 years since I've touched Fable. Excited to get back in.

I remember renting 'Fable' from my local Blockbuster thinking it might be a good little game for the weekend. I had no idea what I was about to experience. It was such an amazing surprise.

OneShoeBoy,

Beyond hyped, the Fable series was the gateway drug that got me in to RPGs and video games as a whole.

Urnchos,

Honestly, I'm so starved for anything Fable that I'm just happy to see it's existence mentioned.

Having Richard Ayoade heavily featured in the trailer is just a cherry in top. Consider me excited.

Have you tried turning it off and then on again?

UnnamedArtist,

did you see that ludicrous display last night?

I'm happy to hear news about this but would really like some game play footage or more info.

The trailer is very interesting. Not at all what I expected from a Fable game. But since there is no game play footage it's hard to say what the game will actually be like.

I enjoyed the original Fable games. That trailer made me excited for the new one.

MajaMystic256,

I haven't played fable before
should I try it sometime?

They are fun and short games. Each Fable game has been paired down from much bigger plans, but still a great experience.

riesen310,

The first one is one of my favourite childhood memories, such a fun game. It was still fun when I replayed it some years ago. Have heard great things about the second one, but that one was exclusive to the 360. The third one was fun, not as good as the first one, but still a good time!

OneShoeBoy,

I say yes, they're a great series to play through at least once though unfortunately may be a bit tough to find (2 is Xbox only and I think 3 was removed from Steam?). Fable Anniversary is still around and kicking though and can give you a taste, though the gameplay is very different to the sequels. Not sure if they're still on Xbox Game Pass, that was how I played through them the last time.

The vibe of the trailer was pretty faithful to the vibe of the original games in my opinion, so you can let that decide if it's something you'll be into or not.

As @exohuman said though all 3 games had lofty promises from Peter Moleneyux which didn't even come close to eventuating. I didn't follow any of that hype and went into them blind and had such a great time, was my gateway into RPGs and gaming so the series as a whole probably sits in my top 10 settings and RPG list (though I may be a bit biased!).
