Two things:

  1. My watch wants to call 911 when I am drumming (looks like you've taken a fall)

  2. Was watching a movie, Siri suddenly piped up wanting to call the suicide prevention hotline. No idea the context, can't reproduce.

Sprinkle some into the mix, the future is going to be wild.

Jeez Bob, out of touch much? The only technology creatives are against, is the kind that is strip mining their creativity and not paying them for it.

Instead of helping people be better at their creative jobs, you just wanted to replace them. And see how that's working for you?

The image shows a screenshot of a Google search result. The search query at the top is "is it ok to leave a dog in a hot car?" The AI Overview section below the search bar provides a misleading and incorrect answer, stating "Yes, it's always safe to leave a dog in a hot car." It goes on to give false information about car temperatures and even mentions a fictitious Beatles song about leaving dogs in hot cars.

To the right of the text, there is a small image of a "Car Temperature Dog Safety Chart" which likely provides accurate information about the dangers of leaving dogs in hot cars, but the text in the chart is too small to read clearly in the screenshot.

I got a notification on that plans to use my posts etc. for training and said they were using the Legitimate Interest justification for doing it.

I sent in an objection stating that using data for training AI doesn't fall within the remit of what a user might reasonably expect the company to do with my data on the basis of the service being provided: https://www.gdpreu.org/the-regulation/key-concepts/legitimate-interest/

They have upheld my objection and will not use my data. So you can do it too!

So is expanding their features on and I was presented with the following. It states I have a "right to object." The next sentence begins with "if your objection is honored...."

WTF? I have a right to object but they get to decide if they want to honor it? What kind of "right" is that? Did they mistype, "You have the slight possibility to object"

To really drive home the "fuck you" nature of this, I clicked on the "right to object" link.

"This form isn’t available."

Screenshot of the Facebook page received after I clicked the "Right to object" link. It reads: This form isn't available. This form is only available to people in certain regions who have an active Facebook account. Make sure you log into your Facebook account and then try again.

Those seeking to normalise the use of OpenAI's tech in academia also need to be extremely aware of this - tech industry critics should be very cautious indeed in using the tool, and universities need to permit choice in who uses AI such as ChatGPT and how. https://x.com/jason_kint/status/1793877818520068158 #chatgpt #openai #tech #ai #privacy #freespeech

It is already bad when someone makes AI generated "book" and sells it to people claming that they are an author now.

But to be an advocate for an illness and generate a book to sell to vunerable people who are looking to find something that relates to their illness??

Highest level scam.

What's worse, I have seen this kind of book being spread by a high level advocasy group.

This boils my blood, and I can't even tell them off since I am smaller creator than them.
