#NoFault#evictions like these — without any missed rent payments or damage to a unit — account for roughly 85% of the total in #BritishColumbia according to a 2023 #UBC study of the period between 2016 & 2021. During that interval, one-in-10 #BCrenters studied were #evicted.
These rates outpace the rest of #Canada in both total ousted #tenants & ones kicked out for no fault of their own.

Each year I look forward to attending this annual gathering next to the beautiful Similkameen River in Snaza’ist which is also known as Hedley, BC.

Many people in our area, including seniors, can’t find a doctor still. The ones they can find only work half a day a week.
One doctor we tried to sign up with we had to book an appointment with the receptionist, then she made us wait 45 minutes just to get a form from her while she gossiped with a colleague.

Forests on Vancouver Island are home to so many species that it is a ongoing learning experience for me. I think that the more we learn about our forests and their importance, the more we’ll respect them.
