Follow-up thought: If #DnD is purged of alignment, is there any particular benefit to having separate creature types for celestials and fiends? Wouldn't a single "otherworldly" category suffice?
Ok, gonna literally quote that last boost of the @slyflourish post because it's short enough to fit:
"#dnd tip: Give characters something to do in every scene."
This is a really easy one to just read, nod, and keep moving because it seems so obvious, but it's worth pausing a moment over, specifically in the context of D&D.
Second day of massive headache, ugh. Yesterday it was coming and going, so I decided to gamble and attend our #DnD night anyway. When the headache returned, I was happy that my character is still cursed and can't speak, and then spent the rest of the session as a squirrel (Wild Shape FTW). Not sure what exactly happened, but I think we'll be participating in a coup and are going to help murder a frog king...?
If you don't know me, here's another introduction.
I'm on dice dot camp because I love D&D so much that I was featured in my local museum about how #DnD builds community. I also share D&D thoughts at https://fullmoonstorytelling.com/
Also, I'm a massive #Sounders fan. I founded https://www.sounderatheart.com/ back in '08, left in '19 to work for Reign and Defiance, rejoined SaH during the pandemic.
I work in news-as-security for Factal.
I'm also a peacetime Army vet, a fan of 311 and have a dog named Aslan.
My weaver background has become instantly popular. I finally published it this week and it rapidly became the second most popular background on Full Moon Storytelling.
If you need a #DnD weaver, quilter, tailor I've got the background for you

It is once again time for a weekly #TableTop game with Muffy as GM. Shino is the host for this week's game and did a bit of redecorating for the event. She put up all those ogre masks on the walls for the game!
Filbert is readying himself to inspire some courage to the team as the party's bard. His sings, though, are goofy spoofs of K.K. Slider tunes.
Officer Tyre is sent to the group by Mr E., over time his complicated relationship with his employer became clear. Due to his similarity to a tractor tyre, he struggled to bond with their daughter Kuberta who is now missing.
I do have to wonder why I keep buying new versions of the same game over and over just because I like the art.
On the left "White Box - Fantastic Medieval Adventure Game" in its first edition (version 1.4) which i already had, on the right is version 2. I'm not actually sure what the difference is besides some art.
The game is your run of the mill #dnd white box #osr clone based on Swords & Wizardry. The main point is the price though, this was under 7eur on Amazon. And it's a complete game.
thinking about the name, one thing White Box doesn't do, and neither does any other #osr game, is to be a proper emulation of the original content of the #dnd white box. which were meant as more of a campaign system for wargames.
all the osr-games are basically just retrofitting the later Holmes/Moldvay rules to fit the original white box, but it seems to me they are leaving out a lot of content.
The players must take a difficult path. The peasants who use the path every day are curious about their hesitancy.
