Pailhead – “Don't Stand In Line” EP (1988)
7", 45 RPM on Wax Trax! Records
One of the more interesting collaborations, featuring Ian MacKaye, Ministry frontman Al Jourgensen, Ministry bassist Paul Barker, and drummer Eric Spicer from Naked Raygun.
The input selector on my dad's amp is more complex than I was expecting; it's 5 inputs and stereo, so I was expecting 2 simple poles (that's the blue and purple output wires); but hmm - it's got many more than 6 wires on each wafer, and there are 3 wafers; looking at a spare wafer it's split into two poles on a single wafer which I hadn't expected; I suspect there's something going on with selecting equalisation filters for the record player.
Can any of you tell me what name or spec of plug will fit this power socket? The opening is roughly 4 mm x 17 mm overall, with a square end and a round end. It is for charging a lithium battery, and I don’t think the original cord had a lump/brick in it. Of course I lost the cord. #WhatIsIt#HiveMind#electronic
This morning I glanced at a list of albums Brooklyn Vegan posted about for 2024 records so far this year, and there's a new FOUR TET record from March I feel like I would've missed had I not seen it there-- I hadn't heard about it.
Four Tet is of course Kieran Hebden from London and is some wild, weird and beautiful electronic stuff. There's some great synth and ambient sounds (and beats!) on this one.
'Three' will most likely be among my favorite albums of 2024.
Another „electronic”. Frankly, this is not my favourite Kucz's piece, I prefer those closer to ambient, folk, classics… but somehow I feel that socmedia aren't perfect place for ambient.
