First time growing Rainbow Glass Popcorn from Real Seeds. Not the greatest weather for ripening up sunshine hungry crops this year in the UK, but I got a couple of cobs. It's fun, so I'll try my luck again next year and hope for a better summer in 2024.

The last hurrah for the dahlias I chose especially for their hyperreal psychedelia. Next year's challenge is to outcompete this combination with even more craziness 🧡💜💛 #Bloomscrolling #GardenersofMastodon #Florespondence #ColourSplash

Hey, my community garden made the news!

...not for good reasons though. Wish this would stop happening every year. Glad we're finally getting some coverage of it though; you'd think after the arson last year there would've been at least some attention.

Today's garden haul. It's been a tough year but we still have a lot to eat every day & even some to freeze. Here are lettuce, cilantro, nasturtiums, tomatoes, broccoli spears, mustard greens, arugula & anise hyssop flowers for the tea in the second pic.

Two tea glasses are on grey counter surface, filled with water steeping the leaves and purple anise hyssop flowers.

When you have 6 pounds of tomatoes we salsa. 💃 #tomatoes #gardener #GardenersOfMastodon #veggies #canning #FoodCanning #FoodPreservation Stayed tuned The same tomatoes after they have been given a hot water bath to remove their skin. Now to chop and mix the other ingredients. End end result

Good morning and happy Saturday. What’s everyone up to. I’m headed to the garden to plant mustard, collard greens and turnips.

The my friend Nadene gifted us have bloomed. Lovely yellow with pink. Transplanted to bigger pot & they're by my little free community library in front of our home.

When the garden gives you zucchini you make zucchini chips. Check back in 24 hours. Flavored with lemon pepper.

The rat-tail radish is grown for its tasty spicy seed pods. Good in salads and stir fries.

One of my heirloom scarlett are beginning to push out their petals 🥰🌻 This plant stands at about 6' tall right now.
It's my first year growing a few different heirloom sunflower varieties.
