Wow, so #nocode is something technical that someone does? I thought it was sitting on a desk, quasi going on strike, and throwing insults at management.
The Mastodon Recent Posts Data Collector retrieves recent public posts and replies from a specified public Mastodon server.
The Mastodon Hashtag Search Data Collector retrieves recent public posts and replies with a specified hashtag from any public Mastodon server.
Users of Communalytic EDU can retrieve up to 5,000 recent posts and replies from Mastodon, while Communalytic PRO users can retrieve up to 50,000. Communalytic users can start collecting data immediately without first having to create a Mastodon account or apply for a separate Mastodon API key.
These new data collectors will provide Communalytic users with a systematic way to collect publicly available Mastodon data for academic research and are being released as part of our work developing research tools, techniques, and visualization dashboards to support computational social science.

Sometimes I wonder if my insistence of handcrafting my code is outdated. 🤔 I love writing code, feeling the familiarity of a project I know inside-out.
Yet all around me, people seem to be jumping on tools that abstract away the code, be it “AI” or “no code”. I never had fun working with a WYSIWYG editor to build a website, it was always more pain than worth.
Low-code/no-code platforms may become more accessible and powerful due to the advancement of artificial intelligence, which may result in more automation in code writing.
Three main ways AI is being incorporated into low-code platforms:
1st - there are generative AI capabilities that are designed to improve the developer experience.
2nd - there are generative AI capabilities targeting the end users of the application created using low code.
3rd - there are features related to process improvement.
@victorp So many initiatives for developer productivity seem assume that solving problems through software entails little more than expressing standard solutions through code. Let's hope the folks allocating budgets to software development know that the biggest part of the software developer profession is collaborative modelling, testing, and experimentation.
I had to rework quite a few bits to get this to be backwards compatible, but I’m really happy with this update. AND it includes some great UX polish too.
We will start live streaming in half an hour! Join us to end the week with a webinar on #NoCode data alchemy and cryptography. https://zenroom.org/events/
Does anyone know of an #android#lowcode or #nocode simple widget app? I'm trying to find a widget that can display data from a simple web data source. I do not want to write an android app. Thanks!
Never thought of the #inclusive and #accessible aspect of no-code / low-code tools until I watched this short documentary (mostly in French but with subtitles).
a big pet peeve of mine is when someone makes a cool visual programming language and calls it #nocode. and then they generate wrong expectations and everyone is ditches it because it doesn’t do what they were told it would do
I see #Webflow just rebranded and updated its UI and all the things. It'll take me a while to decide if it's better (UI elements are now very small, brand type is very bold, maybe feels just a smidge dated*, or not), but in the meantime change is good #noCode#design
*very much based off a friendly, quite circular/geometric sans, as many, many corporates have already moved to in recent years. Approachable
We used to post them on our forum... sometimes on #GitHub, sometimes via changelog, sometimes not at all. It was pretty haphazard, involved a lot of manual steps, and we needed to do better.
So we decided to throw some #code (and some #nocode) at this problem and centralized it all while keeping a bunch of options open for interested parties 👇

We all know and love (!) the leaderboard, but how about a different method?...
