🇺🇦🐕🦺 Meet Jorna, a German shepherd dog who serves with the border guards in Odesa region.
She is a mine detection specialist. The heroic sheepdog was also on the front line, and dozens of times warned our military against falling into occupiers' mine ambushes. Twice more, she found shells from the Second World War in Podil district of Odesa region. #ukrainian#ukraine#UkraineWar#dog#dogs#dogsofmastodon#photo#photography

A few days ago I presented a photo of the footpath leading down into the natural entrance of the caverns. Here is a view looking into the large chamber. This was before the conversion to all LED lighting which is supposed to be quite nice.
In Hoi An, Vietnam, this charming street is adorned with vibrant red silk lanterns that cast a warm, inviting glow on the rustic yellow walls. The scene captures the essence of traditional Vietnamese culture, offering a serene and enchanting ambiance under the night sky.
Today's historic #photo of the day: Melbourne SW6 class #tram no 918 running a city-bound route 64 trip heads north along a near-deserted St Kilda Road, Melbourne, Vic, Sunday, May 4 1986.
The Melbourne & Metropolitan Tramways Board built 120 of these SW6 class trams between 1939 and 1951; a remarkably long duration for a model to remain in production. It's even longer if you include the almost identical W6s (which followed the SW6s); a further 30 of them were built until 1955.
I'm off to Brisbane to see the mighty Cirith Ungol, live. I'll be riding the Honda CRF300 Rally down so I can explore a bit while I'm there. Should be awesome!
Wivenhoe Dam QLD is pretty cool! I think it's the biggest dam I've visited so far. There's a great lookout spot where you can sit down and enjoy the view.
Mount Glorious and Mount Nebo, north of Ipswich QLD, are awesome.
It was foggy and drizzling just a little, so I had to take it slow. Especially as there are leaves and moss on the road. But there was very little traffic on this very scenic ride.
Near the top of Mount Glorious was a motorcyclist cafe, and it was completely packed. Lots of classic bikes, and chromatic pools of oily rainwater collecting beneath them. 🤣
