Now that I have paperless-ngx running and my is working, any suggestions for a software for ?

I have an ADF duplex scanner and will mainly scan b&w ("lineart"), but sometimes in color, too. Output files should be PDF, OCR is optional. I need to be able to remove empty back side pages.

Is there anything that supports different, auto-detected page dimensions in a single PDF as well as auto-cropping and skew removal?

Hvordan scanner man lysbilder i 2023?

When buying a printer it used to be important to check that it works with well with a GNU/Linux system. According to https://wiki.debian.org/SystemPrinting , printers made after 2014 mostly work without problems.

What about printer/scanner devices? It appears they mostly work fine, according to https://wiki.debian.org/CUPSQuickPrintQueues#mfd

Does anyone have experience, good or bad, with setting up printer/scanners on GNU/Linux, especially ?

My flatbed , an old Canon CanoScan 8800F, had developed a issue. A much brighter band in the image. I don't use the scanner often, and I have no idea what had caused it.

At first I thought that I need to start correcting that in software, should be easy, just subtract a suitable amount from the band area in each colour channel of the image after scanning. In some suitable software. Probably a single trivial ImageMagick command-line.
