35 ish years ago, I was a single mom with two kids. We lived from paycheck to paycheck and were surviving. We budgeted carefully with very little fun money but we loved to garden together.
For my birthday, as a surprise, my kids earned enough money, on their own, to buy me three blueberry bushes. They rode their bikes across town to get them.
We decided we would plant our blueberries in the ground when we found our forever home.
I thought I lost them during the drought.
All three plants are back, and the new growth is beautiful.
Summer will have homegrown blueberries this summer.
@norcalgrandma Congratulations. I planted Blueberries a few years ago. The first 2-3 years saw very little growth. I applied some natural fertiliser last year & the results are already visible, vigorous Blueberry bushes coming into bloom. #Blueberries #Garden #Plants
