I could really do without mud season (number 4, I think) this week! We're supposed to be collecting the #glavel (foam glass product for sub-slab insulation) tomorrow but the roads are a mess. Need to do 4-5 round trips with our trailer and it's not going to be fun.

The Beijing city library recently opened to the public, revealing sculpted 'hills' & 'valleys'. The glass-clad building, which serves as the world's largest climatized reading space, invites nature into the rooms & adds transparency to the enriched interior when viewed from the outside. The architecture reminds of Frank Lloyd Wright.
A really striking building we saw today while walking through Lakeview in Chicago. I love green color! The weather was perfect. Warm with just a hint of cold in the air.

An old photo from last year. This is 300 S. Wacker Drive in the Loop. It was a pretty nondescript building up until about 2014 when they decided to put a striking mural map of the Chicago River.
I'm looking for folks who have some expertise in #construction. I'm writing a series on #building in the time of #ClimateChange and looking at ways buildings can be safer as the weather gets weirder, and products or approaches that lower the overall carbon footprint of buildings who would be interested in an interview.
