I think she's dying... 😢 And I'm crying. She hasn't stood up today, she smelled , and had her shower laying down.

She's nearly 18, once a tiny feral rescue, she always considered me her dad. Her eyes usually look in mine , and she winks

Her eyes never opened until now.

I've been rocking her in my arms wrapped up in a towel.

She moved once, then drifted away.. very listless.

If she doesn't pass without pain, I will have to consider putting her to sleep anyway.

My has been sick lately and they can’t quite pinpoint what’s going on.

I know, she’s 17 1/2… but I’ll never be ready for ‘that day’.

It’s been expensive, very expensive, but she’s worth it. She’s stable - just some lab work and symptoms that are unusual.

She’s been my little everything my entire adult life. We have a special bond.

We’re going to the vet again tomorrow for more tests — could you please keep my lil Mac in your thoughts? She’s the bestest baby.

RIP Mars, 2010 - 2024
This morning I found Mars run over by a car. I miss him very much. We got him from the shelter and he showed his gratitude every day. He was cuddly, playful, a rascal and very curious. Wherever I was, Mars wasn't far away and he spent many cuddly hours on my lap. I am stunned and incredibly sad. My heart is broken and I am crushed 🖤

What does one have to do round here to get an uninterrupted snooze?

Colin, an orange cat, is sleeping on a cardboard scratcher to the left of the video. However, to the right, Eric, a fluffy black and white cat, jumps out of a green, plastic washing basket and runs past Colin, while making silly noises.

Reading the vitriol in the comments section is part of the fun 🤭 OK, I am sadistic. Here's the thing - both sides of the indoor/outdoor debate are right. But it depends on the where you live, the region and the cat in question (apparently there are cats who prefer to stay indoors? Omg where are those cats? I always get the damn opposite.) I think people should chuck away black & white thinking & just accept it is COMPLICATED.

As a reflection of how content is often skewed heavily by American audiences & creators, I was surprised to find out that the perception that cats should be indoor only is a uniquely American and perhaps, Aussie one.

In Europe & in Malaysia it is not unusual at all to find indoor/outdoor cats.

The reason why is probably a few things. In US & Oz, the local fauna is being devastated by cats. Also, the wildlife can kill .

I heard him whisper, "look deep into my toe beans" and I was asleep..

Again, I fell asleep too early, a warm on my chest, watching news, and no one noticed, that we were short one cat!!

One cat escaped her kennel, pooped 4 times, 3 on the route to the coffee pot, the other was a surprise near my desk lamp.

I heard a cat cry?
Oh no! Jasper was outside all night!!!

OMG! Bad cat parents, these aren't free range cats !

Seeing how unhappy has been, confined to my tiny apartment, longing for the outside, and spending most of the day alone (because I'm working), has made me rethink about how we approach pet ownership. Sometimes, animals are meant to wander, even if it means that their lives are shorter as a result.
What do you think?

Ps: Please no lectures about why we need to keep pets indoors 😅 I already know it!!

This is just bullying. How is a cat supposed to enjoy his new box with all this going on?

A slightly different angle of Colin and Eric. Colin is still sitting upright in the cardboard box, staring directly into the camera, but Eric has moved out of the radiator bed and is sitting on the radiator top and having a wash.
