I'm balancing out now, & I slept 5 hours! It's been awhile since I got past 4, should have tried for 6, eh?
Feels like there should be frost, but it's about 5 degrees. I've been shutting off the heat before bed, and back on when I wake, I find it more comfortable and quieter overnight.
I might go longer next time, the house isn't cold, but there's cool corners.
Just like a CO2, Carbon Monoxide or propane, the alarms have a lifecycle of 7 years so, it's 15 years out of date. I was on an important phone call when the alarm began sounding randomly.
I pulled it out to replace it, and #Teddy discovered an unexplored hole. Like any male, he thinks his belly will fit. I thought he was going to get his head stuck.
Help needed. I will be downsizing over the next few months. I have boxes and boxes of gently used dog toys (gently used because my late dog Sammi was oddly careful with her toys!). I've been unable to bring myself to get rid of them, but I cannot take them all with me. I have BOXES of them. Does anyone know of a US charity that would take them? I have tried the local SPCA; believe it or not, they said no!

Mi-août, deux chatons errants avaient fait irruption aux abords de la gamelle de mes vieilles minettes (initialement errantes aussi).
Ils se sont empifrés durant trois jours et ont disparu du jour au lendemain.
Les revoilà, amaigris mais plus hardis et bavards, accompagnés d'une petite chatte apparemment gestante. Leur mère probablement.
Objectif : les apprivoiser suffisamment pour les capturer et les faire stériliser. #TerreDesChats

Edit: I have decided, as we have no guests, to store it in the guestroom cupboard, which has 2 doors!
Zaz has become obsessed with chewing my exercise mat, even rolled up. She finds wherever I hide it, no matter where I put it. If I can reach it, so can she, only more easily. I don't have a cupboard with a door (if I did she would work out how to open it or scratch the door to pieces to try to get in).

As a reflection of how content is often skewed heavily by American audiences & creators, I was surprised to find out that the perception that cats should be indoor only is a uniquely American and perhaps, Aussie one.
In Europe & in Malaysia it is not unusual at all to find indoor/outdoor cats.
The reason why is probably a few things. In US & Oz, the local fauna is being devastated by cats. Also, the wildlife can kill #cats.
