Ghost Rider redesign I did back in 2018, time flies!
It was meant to be pitched as a comics, then a TV show, but never got done. No access and network at the time to reach out to the relevant people in charge. Besides, Marvel does not accept outisde pitch ideas, anyway.
It never passed the fanart status, but damn, the fun I had designing this. ^^
"The MkIV seemed, on paper anyway, to be a brilliant idea. Until, that was, someone pointed out that it did nothing more than walk with one person aboard, had no cargo capacity and offered no protection from the elements."
The Plush Vulpine Skin was a brief to take the previous Jackal Skin, and recreate it as if it were a soft plush toy. With special attention given to aligning the design with the previous plush designs and material specs.
Digital tools offer all sorts of advantages, mostly the lack of 'mess' and unlimited, 'non-destructive' undos, but there is a huge joy and mental calm that comes from using analogue tools in what you could call #slowart
They offer a chance to stop, contemplate and refine what you're doing in a non demanding way that digital just can not do.
Bryan Versteeg I’ve installed a projector on the ceiling above my gaming table. Painting dynamic lighting using @Procreate onto the game or layout. I use this for grid overlays, stats, fog of war, area of effect simulations, and for some dramatic lighting. #boardgames#conceptart#3Dprinting

Increasingly the most common thought I have as an art director is "I wish I/we had a week to design this."
We generally do not. Oftentimes I have a few hours to think about an element right now before it has to go into production.
I have one concept artist working with me, and sometimes the 3D artists can do their own takes and designs for some things.
You can't always solve problems by throwing more people and or money at them, but wow do I get why game teams have hundreds of people nowadays.
