For #WordWeavers tomorrow, I think I'm going to be working on a new #cyberpunk story. The MC is an original character that I've been writing for a very long time and in so many different stories. I used to RP him with friends, and still avidly do in a number of fantastic stories, but I decided to finally start a long novel with him. He originated from #CyberpunkRED and #Cyberpunk2020, tabletop RPG's / #TTRPG's. I've written him over every imaginable medium.
"I have cochlear implants and I can only buy parts to fix them or upgrade then from 1 #corporation bc of tech exclusivity. upgrades to get new processors for both ears cost $23k & insurance only covers 90% (and it’s “good” insurance)"
Maybe I have a weird hobby, but oh well. As a GM, it's important to me that my players have something nice to look at, so I bought myself a Tenfold Set for some beautiful #Cyberpunk aesthetics :cyberpunk:
Made me look into Cepheus for the first time, which made me realize it is not actually a pared down MgT but a variation of Classic.
Which means it is missing the best part of MgT: the life path character generation system.
That was the part that really interested me in Traveller, and which my players loved.
Seriously, I have never played the Cyberpunk TTRPG but the computer game, as fun as it is, is basically just "poserpunk".
It is extra funny because at least a few years back a lot of Cyberpunk fans did not count Shadowrun part of the genre since it had "fantasy stuff" in it.
Hey there, choom. You've got some guts showing up in the heart of the Combat Zone, the Dogtone. You do know this turf belongs to us, the Barghests, right? Your trembling tells me you're well aware of the pecking order, but you're still standing here. Impressive or foolish? Time will tell.
Barghest - Out now on Bandcamp, Kofi, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Tidal, Deezer, Spotify and many more.
Today it’s the third day since I moved to #Berlin.
I spent the first two days getting things sorted, cleaning and setting up the house, and getting acquainted with this incredible city.
Now that the basic things are out of the way, I am starting my tour of Berlin’s hackerspaces.
I want to get to know the city by connecting to its #independent, #communal, #anarchist, #cyberpunk spaces. I believe hackerspaces are the best way to do so. There are too many, it is wonderful and overwhelming at the same time. I love it.
My first stop has been #xHain, the hackerspace closest to where I live, in Friedrichshain.
It seems like exploring a dreamland. Not exaggerating: this #hackerspace embodies my greatest ideals and dreams.
Rumors are flying that Apple will make William Gibson's 'Neuromancer' into a TV series. But who will star? And will this be the first great cyberpunk TV series?
Anyone else excited about Nivalis? (www.youtube.com)
It's a cyberpunk life sim being developed by ION LANDS. The same team that made Cloudpunk. I can't wait to do some cyberpunk fishing!...
