Pleased with myself as instead of jumping to am&zon I went on #eBay and got a 8 port network switch #secondhand . It was missing the power adapter which is fine as I’ll be rigging it anyway to run off 5V (it’s a TP SG108 and I’ve already got the 5 port version which works fine off 5V with a little modification).
Means I can finally put in place my plans to automate the #mastodon instance

I ordered a couple of electrical sensors from #ebay one of size A and three of size B from the same vendor.
They were shipped together, and left China with parallel dates. One package arrived at me door two weeks ago, and the other seems to have stalled in transit at "Destination Hub" whatever that means. It hasn't moved since November.
Sounds like they've lost it, but don't actually tag stuff that way.
When the Raspberry Pi 5 was announced, we all said that most people would probably be better off repurposing an x86 thin client so we bought some dirt cheap new in box Dell Wyse 5070 machines to see if we were right. Spoiler: we were.

#ebay verlangt grade von Privaten, nachdem sie etwas verkauft haben, dass sie sich authentifizieren (auch wenn die schon seit über 10 Jahren dort verkaufen), indem sie ein Bild eines staatlichen Ausweises hochladen. ebay nennt keine Rechtsgrundlage, gibt keine Auskunft ob die Verbindung verschlüsselt erfolgt und was sie mit den Bildern machen bzw. wo sie sie speichern.
Wenn man es nicht macht, behalten sie das Geld ein. 🤨

Made some coasters and some more cloths. The face cloths/ dishcloths are on my UK based Ebay (I did try to start an etsy but it somehow didn't work out).
The cloths are made from 100% organic cotton yarn and the coasters are recycled cotton and recycled synthetic fibre.
