Morning glory Grandpa Otts: this electric beauty surprises me every morning as its trumpets open at different places on the vine. I managed to keep the slugs off (garlic spray!) when they were babies, so now about a dozen plants are climbing through the August garden. Each flower opens for just one day. But what a day.
Fully-functioning Twitter and I won’t deny, it is where most of my gardening friends are. But Mastodon was a lifeline for me at the weekend and so I shall not be fickle and abandon it. I hope there are #gardening and #flowers people I can connect with on here too.
My first day on Mastodon. Feels a little scary to be on new social media. I've been on Insta a little and that's about it since I moved three years ago. Summer is here and all the irises have come and gone. They were planted before I moved here and this year for the first time white irises bloomed. It was such a sweet surprise. Attaching photos of some purple and white irises. #flowersOfMastodon#flowers#flora#homeBoundPhotography#pwME
Hi everyone. I was putting up a lot of pics with the Bloomscrolling tag. So I decided to start this kbin page. Feel free to start threads to ask about flowers....
The roses have absolutely loved the weird weather Ottawa has been having and are blooming so overwhelmingly they almost look like peonies. First up, the campfire roses. #FlowersOfMastodon#Flowers
My early morning ritual; a walk in Veale Gardens #Adelaide just as the sun's rising, giving the ducklings a little feed of baby peas & corn, and taking some photos, before a sit-down to process them while having coffee back at home :)
Photos of the flowers that I have planted near the back wall of our house. Many of the smaller ones are not really visible unless closer up. I am really impressed with the big ones, I have never been able to grow flowers like this.
Photos taken with a Nikon D850, lens Sigma 28-1335 Aspherical
This was part of my flower a day project, taken with a #Helios442 lens, manual settings and focus. This #vintageLens gives a distinctive look and feel to the images that I really like for flower photography.
Original post is here, you can find endless blooms to scroll through taken in the same style : https://www.elliekennard.ca/echinacea/
