But, in this #thread, I want to talk about my wife, who isn't here, online.

You hear little bits in posts, and all about what I am doing, what about the woman that works silently behind the scenes in my life?

From The Intellectualist at the hellsite, here's Senator Mike Braun [R-IN] saying he's open to SCOTUS changing settled law and depriving people of equal protection in** mixed racial marriages.**

Thus allowing states to reimplement old miscegenation laws, or banning so-called mixed ethnic marriages, requiring SCOTUS overturn Loving v Virginia in 1967.

These are confederate radicals.

Senator Mike Braud from Indianna on supporting the right of states to ban mixed marriages, or ethnically mixed relationships.

Ireland votes that a woman’s place is in the home. A sad day for social progress. The whole way the government handled this referendum was a shambles.

In vintage ads, marriage is always teetering on the brink of destruction. One wrong choice of sandwich topping might send it over the edge.

Paraphrased quote from So I Married An Axe Murderer:
"Twenty Four years ago today, Arianna and I were married. Some of you were there, some of you weren't born, and some of you are now DEED! But, we both said "I do," and we haven't agreed on a single thing since."

In America, married people get more than 1,000 legal benefits that single people can't access. Vox's Sigal Samuel asks why people in a platonic partnership can't enjoy the same kind of benefits, and why society values friendships less than familial relationships and marriages. Do you have a "best friend?"

Today is my wedding anniversary. 9/1/91 (We did that so I only had to remember two numbers.)

I told Mrs. Miasma I wished we could take a digital photo of us as we are now, and send it back through time to the "us" that got married 32 years ago.

Mrs. Miasma said she believes her younger self would've thought "Well, it either went really well or really badly."

Tomorrow I celebrate 6 years of being married to my favorite person. We have moved 4 times in those 6 years, added another child to our family, replaced 3 vehicles, survived a pandemic and 3 significant surgeries.
We continue to learn about each other, and I’m so glad that we choose to grow together.

If you're in need of a cup or bottle with almost no water left in it you're in luck. My spouse has several of them strategically placed in nearly every room in the house.

We , with no guests, & a photographer and a stranger lady dragged in off the street by the registrar as witnesses. was the best option in the middle of my parents’ very traumatic . It has taken over a year to be able to go through my late husband’s dresser drawers and donate his old socks and undershirts.

When I was putting them in the box to be taken away, I picked them up and put them to my face.

His clothes smelled like him, for a brief, fleeting moment.
What a gift.

"Regardless of whether this bill was intended to target marriages of same-sex couples, interfaith couples, or interracial couples — it’s unconstitutional because the Constitution prohibits public officials from discriminating against members of the public based on their personal beliefs."

Emma, by Jane Austen.
You are but one and twenty, a gentleman’s daughter, but fixed on never marrying so that you may care for your hypochondriac father; this, however, does not dissuade you from the disastrous matchmaking you attempt for others, which goes wildly awry, embroiling yourself even, though you are always sensible to the distinction of rank.

One of the hardest parts of being married is when the OH wakes you up in the middle of the night because she ‘heard something downstairs’ and is now convinced there’s someone in the house.

Spoiler alert: there never is!
