The heart of #Christians are on full display following the #eclipse. Some delusional #Christofascist woman who was convinced that the eclipse would usher in the "#rapture" left huge tips for multiple servers prior to the event because she figured she'd be with #Jesus, and wouldn't need the cash. When she discovered that she was still on Earth after the eclipse, she was struck with #Biblical butt-hurt, and went back and demanded her tips back!
Everyone still here? No? Who’s #missing ? Did they ascend into heaven as part of the #rapture ? Are we the ones left behind? What about you? Or, perhaps, the missing ones became victim of some #criminal and y’all just using the rapture to feel good about them being gone? Sounds harsh? You wouldn’t believe how many parents of #trans kids would rather have their child die than support them. Now that’s harsh. So far, I’ve seen no one disappear at the #Arizona Science Center as we watch the #eclipse together outside. That either means we’re all heathens, or the #rapture is bullshit.

Insurance companies in the USA have warned Christians that their life insurance policies do not cover rapture. Their families might be at risk of hardship if they don't all rapture together.

As an #atheist, I'm struck by how many of the political problems the #UnitedStates is currently experiencing are driven by a citizenry who believe in, and clearly are living for, something called "the #rapture." A look around the various "social" media sites, including, and perhaps especially, #facebook, shows a goodly fraction of Americans are #God crazy. Anyone who says #religion is "a harmless crutch" is not paying attention. Without these voters, clearly there is no #Trump and no #GOP. #sad
