En día que llegue el alzamiento #robot tener por seguro que no vendrá de #chatGPT ni de #Midjourney. Vendra de la mano de los Roomba y sus semejantes. Son los únicos que tienen aspiraciones.
Next was a great talk by Stephan Lemmer on #robot learning from poor human instruction at the University of #Michigan. This is an important problem, as people naturally make mistakes when trying to give feedback, and Lemmer presents some promising approaches for dealing with it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8nLycdODP4 (6/8) #robotics
Divers are often put at considerable risk when searching for people or objects underwater. The #ETH spin-off #Tethys has developed an #underwater#robot that can be used in situations that are too dangerous for human divers.
The Tethys robot is an #autonomous#UnderwaterVehicle that has been specially developed for use in challenging and dangerous environments like turbid channels and rivers. It is primarily used in situations when it is too difficult or cont.
I made a 50% version of the Fluffbug #robot, so now it's time to make the 200% version. Got the servos ordered, but before that I made some simple measurements with some old servos I had lying around. This time I will need a much beefier battery, and since it's 2S, no built-in charging, but I will need a buck converter. Not sure if I want to stick to microcontrollers or put an SBC on it.
There is no argument in that at all.
"#Descriptive rules," so to speak.
I'm just saying that in particular, in the 2nd half of the 20th century, there were quite a few #organic#androids in #SciFi, as this informative @wikipedia entry states:
"...androids being made to look like humans on the outside but with #robot-like internal mechanics. In other stories, authors have used the word "#android" to..."
This is apparently a #robot which moves like a seal on land, but I’m wondering whether it should be hidden behind a CW. I suspect the development may have been funded via an OnlyFans page. https://youtube.com/watch?v=qZdz764Sz6g
I've managed to flash my #robot vacuum cleaner with #Valetudo! valetudo.cloud is a way to take back control and not surrender your data to someone else's cloud. It is free as in freedom software that runs vacuum cleaners. It has a web interface (and a companion Android app available in @fdroidorg) so you can control it from any of your client devices.
You might have had a Mastodon follow notification recently…It’s me, damian™, same guy - just migrated to Calckey.social. I should finally make an introduction post, but for now a drawing.
