Nope. Still can't serve. It's now stubbornly serving a completely different site if I use "try_files $uri @PROXY." If I use "try_files $uri /$uri =404;", it gripes b/c there is no index file & it won't do a directory listing. Automatic installation script skipped files. This is non-trivial. Having to search for solutions all day was awful. You want us to host, but online help is poor.
Has anyone out there besides me tried installing #mastodon from source? Theoretically it would work if I had 500.html, sw.js and sw.js.map. None of the installation code installed them. I don't see an instruction in the voluminous page of installation mistakes (that page is old). Anyone? Hello? Am I the only one who tried that rat's nest of instructions?
