While inverter machines and digital control TIG machines are incredible, and plasma cutters are super fast and cut a sweet clean line., They do not have the soul of a 70 year old cutting torch, I love breaking out the Airco 'corn cob' torch. #art#welding#studio#metal

I hadn't thought about it. What did you want to learn? If it's strictly welding there are great videos online with people who are better than me (that's how I learned TIG) I do a lot of gas welding brazing and soldering
@asbestos to be honest, I didn’t have a specific idea in mind. I just saw cool-looking tools used in the realm of “bigger fabrication tech I don’t know” and got excited.
@amadeus That's great that you have some power for now! Maybe the first inverter was just malfunctioning, so it surprises me that you didn't ask for a replacement for that model. But at least you have something working now :)
@graves501 We escalated the case and Deye were actually remotely verifying the unit and their conclusion was that it was not malfunctioning. 🤔 But I honestly find it difficult to imagine that if the unit was working as expected their inverters would not have problems in many other, potentially even more challenging, situations as well.
Happy Birthday to Clyde Stubblefield, the OG Funky drummer. 🥰 We had the honour of recording the great man for an album we produced with Alison Limerick, back in the late 90s. None of the tracks were ever used, but it was an absolute riot recording our hero!

Here is an updated look at my #Studio designed #Lego themed #natural#history book. Each #baseplate is a different scale, showing mostly extinct animals (theres some extant ones on the right side of the pink baseplate)
The person on the baseplates represents a person about 6 foot tall.
Im still working on more designs.
@gay_ornithischians thanks, theyre designed to be either grounded or flying. You even need to flip the wings to make them pose properly when landed (to represent the hands pointing backwards) The only one that cant flip its wings to land is the smallest one

But even organization, like re-routing the cables or re-structuring the sample library and or plugins and things like that are an important part of the joy of making music for me. 😊
