The stench of hypocrisy surrounding the Eurovision this year was just astounding.

While Israel was performing at #Eurovision, their troops were murdering displaced Palestinians in Rafah, bombing UNDP building and invading parts of Gaza they had declared "safe" for refugees.

And then this POS hypocrite who was so strongly supporting the ban on Russia 2 years ago is now acting like "music and entertainment is not politics".

@faab64 Everyone has an agenda (seems so), the Fediverse included. Just look at 90% of the posts on the Trends page.

Unless you are coherent enough with your post and add some rationale to it, be ensured to get a block (or worse, Fediblocked) if you say anything that has an inkling of 'support' (deliberate quotes) for Russia or for that matter, China.

Oh, God (or the powers that be) help you if you say anything that's not pro-LGBTQxx - I know one 🤣

In the mood for climbing wattle and potato soup.
Add Salt, pinch of baking soda, and thinly sliced chopped potatoes (with chillies based on taste) to water. Bring to boil. Once the potatoes are cooked, drop the cleaned climbing wattles. Cook for another 3-5 minutes.

Crappy weather and feeling like junk food thought I'd see what this flavor of Hot & Spicy I picked up tastes like.
Pretty good - there's some tartness to it and slightly late heat - like it was made with hot sauce incorporated.

Used a ⅓ of the can cubed up in a "trashy" noodle dish that's an occasional indulgence (next)

@SRDas I soak the noodles (WaiWai or Mama) in water till they're soft and then go about the usual steps of frying them with the ingredients. Most times using the flavor packs as a masala of sorts.

/Tip I learned it from Bhutanese friends (the soaking part) - college days too :D

I just had a conversation with a guy who said, “Yeah, well I’m a capitalist.”

So I asked, “Okay, how much capital do you have?”

Boy, oh boy, does that question put things in perspective. He became a caricature of an old Warner Brothers cartoon character, trying to compose himself as he fumbled for words, all while he avoided actually answering the question.

So I simply repeated the question. I highly recommend.

Even if living alone, appreciate the effort friend puts when she sits down for a meal - serving each dish in a bowl/plate. For comparison, yours truly puts them all in one plate "...too much hassle and dishes to wash".

Salt, beef soup, soup of mock tomato and brinjal, fried spring onions roots, boiled eggs, ginger, chillies, boiled fish served in a table.
Boiled eggs, cucumber, avocado, fried beans, post of (I dunno), cherry served in a table.

@LifeTimeCooking I suppose so. She'll continuously talk while cooking (without paying much attention to the cooking) but the food still comes out delicious. One of those 'naturals', I guess.

@nilesh A few months ago, someone on here already talked about their enshittification by going the MS route with their Ubuntu Store. Had planned to switch from MS to Ubuntu (after this Windows 10) but looks like I'll have to wait a bit for a better (distro) option.

    @anniezaidi Not so surprising. There was this "Go to Pakistan" comment reply followed with expletives on a post on NorthEast Today's FB page and Pema Khandu (official account) gave a Haha reaction to it. I understand it must be the staff that maintains the page but just giving an idea of how BJP's IT Cell works overtime.
