    The parser and linter implementation is probably faster, switching the programming language shouldn't change execution speed (as both C/C++ and Rust compilers output assembly code).

    @janriemer Ok nvm, I thought oxc was an alternative JavaScript runtime like Node.js (C++) or Bun (Zig).

    So "JavaScript tooling could be rewritten in a more performant language" in the README (https://github.com/web-infra-dev/oxc#philosophy) refers to JIT execution I guess.
