RIP, beloved 70s #Krups75 coffee grinder. Served me well for a year or so (after I found it on eBay) then the bearing started to make a grinding noise (no pun intended). Tried to clean and lubricate it today. It worked really smoothly for a minute afterwards, then it literally just exploded, even ripped out one of the threaded screws inserts. It likely got stuck and the motor windings shorted out violently. Can’t even move the shaft now, probably welded to itself. #Repair #Fail #VintageTech 😫

40% der #DTicket #49EuroTicket Kunden der #MVG in München haben sich für die Chipkarte und gegen die App-Variante entschieden.

Die Chipkarten werden jetzt (endlich) verschickt. Und wie es sich für Bayern gehört, sieht sie gar nicht aus wie das Deutschlandticket, sondern ist was Eigenes, ohne das bekannte Logo. Le Sigh.

#Facebook #Meta isn't planning to open up #ActivityPub federation for #threads anytime soon, IMHO. It was just a marketing bluff to get that sweet ad money from advertisers who need a new place to spend their money now that #Twitter goes down the drain. That's why they created shadow accounts for Instagram users, so they can claim 100M users in just a few days. And you can only delete your threads account by deleting your complete Insta profile. Weirdest opt-out ever :)

Ich frage mich langsam ob in München, der Hauptstadt von Laptop und Lederhosen, die Chipkarte für das Deutschlandticket handgeschnitzt und verlötet wird. Monat 3 mit ausgedruckter PDF Datei ("Papierticket") weil es die MVG immer noch nicht schafft die Chipkarten zu verschicken.
