This is going to help scammers a lot. Imagine getting a call from your loved ones, and they explain they are in trouble and need immediate financial assistance. This is going to affect so many elderly and innocent people. OpenAI is developing these tools again from publicly scrapping of your voice samples.

I always use the advanced Web interface for Mastodon to do my "boosting thang" efficiently.

Normally I don't comment on the software. But a sudden change to the Notifications tab in the v4.3.0-nightly.2024-03-18 build is really pissing me off.

I can now only choose between viewing "All" and "Mentions." Gone is the ability to easily filter by notification type in the column header.

WTF?!? This is a hostile UI simplification. Please revert this. Thank you.

Update on yesterday’s open house, for those interested:

👍🏼It went well! We got a good turnout and… one nibble! They want to see another house on Tues. If they like ours better, they’ll make an offer.

👎🏼BUT: After the heavy Calif rains, we’ve (well, a visitor) JUST discovered 2 leaks (paint buckled). Big expense coming up, and the repairs will come smack in the middle of the Wed. brokers open house, and next weekend’s open house.

So… ugh to that. Contractor coming today.

The week before we put my parents' house on the market I swear everything started to fall apart. Spark arrestor blew off the chimney, termite tenting killed a whole bunch of plants that had to be pulled so we weren't showing The House of Dead Plants, the photographer lit a fire in the never-used fire place so the whole downstairs smelled, ....

You'll get through it, and drink something wonderful to celebrate closing. Best of luck! 🤞

It happened during the day for me, but a while back strong winds blew the spark arrestor off the top of our chimney. Huge noise, but I couldn't figure out where from.

Then I found it on the ground later, and it took a minute or two to remember/figure out what the heck it was, where the heck it came from, and then realize that it was what had caused the noise five minutes ago.

So I guess I'm saying, the odds are low, but if you've got a chimney, have you looked on top yet? 🧐
