I've said it before but I'll say it again.
It's not that everyone I know who had #Covid has developed terrible new medical issues.
It's that everyone I know who has developed terrible new medical issues recently had Covid.
And in every case I'm thinking of, it's become a health crisis within about three months of their most Covid bout. (Usually not a bad bout, either.)

burns down Aqsa University Library in Gaza, including it's vast archive of historic manuscript. This comes after they leveled University months ago, one of the oldest universities in the world. Academics who defend are toothless genociders and deserve to be deligitimized. You can't be an honest knowledge producer and also defend the fascist eradication of history.

The softcover, POD version of MM Compilation 5 is now on DriveThru. I'm really pleased with how this book looks :) The Mythic and AC One-Pagers are in it together, which I like.
Hardcovers should be out in a couple of weeks! https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/465925/Mythic-Magazine-Compilation-5

For all those people out there who still claim that we are getting our kids high by giving them Adderall:

I took my dose at 6:30 AM , went back to sleep, just getting up now 10 minutes before nine.

brains are chemically different. Normal brains, get high or focused or whatever. I become slightly more able to find the thing I set down three seconds ago.

like, was this the most optimal or elegant way to code this?

no, but it was the most fun to write.

My brothers and sisters in christ, to all the PbtA Devs, because we seem to be the only motherfuckers who do this, do not say "the playbooks are available online so we aren't putting them in the print book."

For the love of god, pay the extra 2 dollars a book to print them. Otherwise, in twenty years when every download link to them is gone forever because the internet is ephemeral, your game will be literally unplayable.

Lightbox assembled. Initial impressions

  1. I knew it was small, but… it's really small.
  2. It looks great considering the easy of creation.
  3. trivial to assemble and disassemble.
  4. packs up small & magnets are close enough to hold the stack
  5. I like the shadows cast by the overhead lights.
  6. Unsurprisingly it NEEDs lighting from the camera's side.

Nitpicks & future improvements in 🧵

three images. two on the left one tall one on the right. top left shows the lid with the LED strips wired up in series. bottom left shows a stack of 4 panels being lifted by the 2nd one down. the magnets are holding the rest up. the right image shows the meeting of 3 walls in the box without any obscuring items.

I've been working on v3 of the Single Card Clipboard this morning.

I've been using v1 & v2 for months now, and it's SO useful. It frequently lives in my pocket with a blank card and a pen.

The photo shows v2. It has some mechanical issues which i'm attempting to resolve with a more old-school clip shown in the rendered version.

a rendering of the 3rd version. It has and old-fashioned looking clip that arcs up then down to exert pressure, then back up again, just a little bit, to make it easier to slide a card under. This should flex and allow 2 to 3 cards to be held under the clip. there's a finger hole mid-way up the right edge. This lets you easily grab and remove your card.

I don't see many people talking about something that can do that I find invaluable, and that's making jigs.

I needed to cut some small steel rods to 4 different lengths, each with a 0.5mm tolerance.

So, I made a jig with for holes for measuring, and 1 for holding it steady while cutting. Stick the rod in, draw with sharpie where it stops, transfer it to the holding hole. Then slide it along the guide rail into the cutting blade at the correct height.

easy, precise, safer.

the jig in action. clamped to a workbench beside the Dremel with a diamond blade which is also clamped to the workbench.

Discord just announced a change to their Terms of Service, which restarts the clock on when you can opt out of binding arbitration. All you gotta do is read the "Opt-out" paragraph of Section 16 & send an email to arbitration-opt-out@discord.com from the email address you use to log in which states something as simple as this:

I am confirming that as of the date of this email, I am choosing to opt out of binding arbitration to settle disputes with Discord.

Boosts pls.

Pet owners. If you need to regularly give your pet oral meds, and have a 3D Printer I've just uploaded this rock-shaped holder I made for ours.

Holler if you need to support a different sized bottle / syringe, or would like one that can hold hypodermic needles.

Works for human meds too ;)
