(TLdr: the sky isn't falling, we have always been a diverse set of cultures and moderation standards, we will work it out on both fronts, but a lot is changing on all fronts & more will. And through it all we have all we need to protect our people.) Open to any thoughts, pushback, etc….

Not sure how the cultural differences will play out when the Instagram users will bring with them when they join the Fediverse. We will work it out.

But one thing feels true the Fediverse will become significantly more female-identifying and somewhat younger.

Will later do a study using more varied instances but using just this one for simplicity.....

With the upcoming Fediverse service, there has been a, well, robust discussion of how to avoid threats looming. Those advocating mass-preemptive defederation make three cases for it.
