When Alan Jackson and Jimmy Buffet sing "it's only half past 12, but I don't care. It's five o'clock somewhere." The most likely explanation is that they are in London and they are referring to it being 5 o'clock in India. India is the only way to account for the 30 minute offset.

    Now that I recognize having both autism brain AND ADHD brain in my head, I understand why I'm always in conflict. Autism brain prefers a small, simple, reliable world. Comfortable patterns, predictable interactions, is completely content doing the same thing every day.

    ADHD brain, on the other hand, is constantly seeking stimulation. It wants to explore, learn, see, do everything. Spend every weekend reading every single placard at every single Smithsonian museum. Meet people and talk about interesting things.

    But that leaves me constantly torn. When I stay at home where it's comfortable and safe, I'm understimulated and antsy. When I go out, I'm overstimulated and overwhelmed.

    Brains Suck...

    I have some fond nostalgia-tinted memories of watching Futurama episodes on RealPlayer on a public library computer around 2000, streamed via glorious RTSP from an unofficial fan-site. It was something like a 300kbps stream, which was great quality for the time.

    Also semi-fondly remember Launch.com for music videos in their own web embed player (I think using Windows Media plugin) with selectable bitrate (something like 32k, 64k, 128k, 300k).
