Poland has transferred help worth 50 billion EUR to Ukraine since the start of the full-scale war. Majority of Polish heavy equipment was passed to Ukraine secretly in early 2022, as US and EU were still reluctant to provide any actual warfare fearing “escalation”. Most of the military support from Poland to Ukraine is not officially disclosed, likely to avoid helping Russians calculate Poland’s military potential.
#Poland Internal Security Agency (ABW) detained two citizens of #Poland and one citizen of #Belarus who engaged in arson in different parts of the country on request from #Russia special services. In January ABW has detained an #Ukraine citizen who engaged in similar forms of sabotage coordinated by Russia.

#Poland Academy of Sciences (PAN) statement on the proposed defense lines on the border with #Belarus and #Russia highlights that the defense goals may go hand in hand with environment protection, nature restoration and biodiversity restoration goals, if designed rationally. In short, they propose to rely as much as possible on restoring swamps, increasing ground water levels (stop melioration) and wild forest.

Odnośnie tej mapki to ja bym więcej takich umocnień zrobił wzdłuż granicy z Ukrainą. Nie daj Boże jakby putin zajął całą Ukrainę to dla mnie jest więcej niż pewne, że atakowałby nas właśnie od tej strony.
Last night on #Poland#Belarus border, a Polish border guard was stabbed with a knife by a person storming the border fence. It is unknown whether that was an actual immigrant or Belarus spetsnaz in civilian clothes. Polish border guard evacuated the stabbed soldier but did not respond in any kinetic way to avoid provocations. This is the second stabbing so far.
Throwing rocks, using stroboscopes and laser pointers to blind the border guard is routine practice by the groups storming borders, guided by Belarussian KGB soldiers.

There should be clear rules of engagement: if they stab, shoot at you or harm you in any serious way... you should have the right to answer back with lethal force.

Won’t work, because they’re on Belarussian territory - this would be treated as an armed aggression and used by Belarussian propaganda accordingly. Of course, KGB leading this aggressive mob to the border is doing it intentionally, but in some cases the only thing you can do is to resist passively - until they cross into your territory.
Draconian penalty on Polish radio station for a news - cancelled by court
Back in Dec 2022, Radio ZET reported on US Secret Service passing Ukrainian President Zelenskyy through #Poland territory w/out asking Polish counterpart for help due to apparent mistrust.
Radio ZET owner, Eurozet Radio, appealed saying Świrski overstepped his power by fining the station for disinformation - a term that doesn't even exist in Polish law. Besides, they David it was impossible for them to defend against charges of violation of reason of state & reason of the public, which in itself is a violation of law.
Warsaw court has agreed to Eurozet Radio's reasoning & cancelled the fine.
#Poland has announced that it will impose restrictions on Russian diplomats’ movements in the country in response to #Moscow’s involvement in “hybrid warfare.”
“These will be limitations on the movement of Russian diplomats in our country,” Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw #Sikorski said.
He said the restrictions stemmed from Russia’s involvement in destabilising activities against the #EU, including Poland.

The first slide is a high-level design for the 50 km zone, the second is direct vicinity of the border. Note the use of natural barriers, such as swamps and tree lines in the latter, but the Polish word “zabagnienie” (“enswampification”) indicates an such zones created intentionally - beavers are going to love it 😉

Since around 2022 it’s exclusively young, masked men, often equipped with strobe lights and lasers and guided by uniformed Belarussian border guards. Granted that in 2022 Belarus welcomed a large group of “Wagner Group” mercenaries and employed them as instructors, speaking of “migrants” is no longer sustainable - these are coordinated attempts of storming EU border by men who can be Russian/Belarussian saboteurs or “Wagner” mercenaries, or any combination of these.
