Extra butter popcorn, hazy IPA #beer, and #bourbon soaked fresh cherries for dinner + absolutely filthy music over the house speakers on blast + walking around in just panties with the heat set to 80 degrees = because I can 😏 I have just a few more days of true empty nesting and a house to myself. Got a last minute invite to play some games and it made this Christmas morning very enjoyable. Had some coffee with homemade bourbon creme in it and played a game of Wingspan. Wow. The recipe that won Punch’s blind Eggnog tasting uses a split base of rum, cognac, and bourbon. I’ve done that for many years, more surprisingly though the recipe calls for PF 1840 and Old Grand Dad. I’ve been using Bonded Old Grand Dad, PF 1840, and OFTD for several years now. I also use a mix of whole milk and heavy cream. Got my small #sousvide unit with me (#Japan 110v is fine) - but finally after 3months using it now for tonight's #Dinner prep. #Steak (no not #Kobe ) Australian #beef this looked ok - salted + touch soy overnight, touch of peated whisky and blk pepper + hint of cumin then at my preferred 54.5 ⁰C [will let this go 1+ h]
No big pot here, so just using the rice cooker pot.

Had him try Beam, 4 roses (a high rye bourbon), and makers mark.
Whispering some good news into the ether tonight. Today I filed the legal paperwork to officially form an #LLC that will allow me the freedom to do more #creative work.
