Awhile ago I posted a picture of my hubby as a little boy (he is in the back seat) with his Grandpa rowing a boat on a lake...It got me thinking and painting so I could give him a special Christmas gift this year! Almost done!
At the kid's school to cheer them on for the "fun run" (raises money for our school) and I've got to say, the "kid energy" on the playground is lively, and lovely.
Circumstances change, times change, but there is a timeless energy of happy kids playing.

I know others don't have the privilege, of food and security, and acknowledge that is profoundly unfair, but here, and now, I'm loving this.
A couple of houses down from mine, I have a new-ish #neighbour; moved in last year. There lives a weird kid, in a good way. From talking to him and seeing him doing weird things, it seemed to me he was destined to end up a pretty good engineer in about twenty years.
Today confirmed it. He literally built a Bugs Bunny cartoon trap on the front lawn, to catch ... ?
