So it’s okay for a special prosecutor to go after anyone else in Congress for political reasons though? Why is just a President immune?
What makes something a political reason vs a legitimate concern? There needs to be a circuit breaker to protect the country against a rogue President. No one should have absolute power.

Time interview so you don't have to. Throughout, the leader of the GOP talks openly about his dangerous ambitions for a second term -- including allowing states to arrest women who have abortions, using the power of the presidency to influence criminal investigations, and deploying the military to round up millions of immigrants. 🧵 https://time.com/6972022/donald-trump-transcript-2024-election/

@indivisibleteam It is a waste of time to interview someone who not only doesn’t understand the issues, he also does not understand the implications of his answers to the questions on the issues. It appears that he fabricates half-responses because he has no idea: “well it depends, we’ll see,” etc. The frightening answers are the ones that show a strong tendency to make all decisions without Congress or laws. The President does not have absolute power like this. This is why he will not debate.

Trump is telling us exactly what he plans to do if he gets another term. He is framing his return to power as an authoritarian effort, and he is overtly using Nazi language and symbolism to drive home the point.

This wasn't a mistake. It isn't a joke. American freedom and democracy are on the line in 2024. The main headline in Trump's ad asks: "What's Next for America?" Trump's answer: authoritarianism and fascism.

Guess who wrote the majority opinion? Yup, Alito.

"Supreme Court rules for GOP in South Carolina redistricting case

Civil rights groups argued that state Republicans unlawfully redrew GOP Rep. Nancy Mace’s district when they removed thousands of Black voters.

The Supreme Court on Thursday ruled that Republicans in South Carolina did not unlawfully consider race when they drew a congressional district in a way that removed thousands of Black voters, making it harder for civil rights plaintiffs to bring racial gerrymandering claims.

The court, divided 6-3 on ideological lines with conservatives in the majority, said civil rights group had not done enough to show that legislators were focused on race in drawing the Charleston-area district currently represented by Rep. Nancy Mace, a Republican."

@Waitnwallflower All decisions made by SCOTUS since the January 6th insurrection need to be nullified. The court is obviously biased and not impartial.
If we could ever appoint an impartial board of investigators, the financial activities and social contacts of all SCOTUS members need to be thoroughly examined since 2016.
Just consider it similar to an investigation for a security clearance, like nearly all government employees consent to. What do you have to hide?
