@frank I agree that they are often a bit conservative.
Personally I think I’d have a hard time making a good recommendation, especially for an international audience.
Would a few screenshots, one or two quotes and a summary be helpful? „These are the outfits of the main protagonist (if they show some skin), a character sometimes uses the F word and there’s a demon in the game“
@fallenhitokiri yeah that would be helpful. There is a big difference between realistic blood and gore that almost made ME throw up and “there is some 8-bit Minecraft blood when you head shot a character”
One of the PS2's greatest fighters. Hefty, robust gameplay, with a massive roster and a fun story. Bonus Devil Within game is a load of toss though, and the final boss is the franchise's cheatiest yet.
For me: TTT > T3 > T5, still T5 was incredibly strong at release.
T5 actually had new characters that were really fun, whereas 4 was kind of a miss for me, and most other Tekken fans. Both Raven and Feng pictured on the cover felt like fresh air with fun and different play styles compared to the core roster.
I can understand why 4 was a miss for fans, especially at the time - I actually wrote about my experiences with it a few weeks ago!
Tag I have a ton of nostalgia and love for, although over time I've come to prefer fighting games with some narrative weight to them as well as being mechanically strong
Finally finished Dust: An Elysian Tail. Took me an eternity and a half to finish it, but I savored every moment of it like a fine wine. This will probably go down as one of my all time fave Metroidvanias to play!
Decided to start a replay of Tomb Raider. Crazy to think the rebooted version is already 11 years old.
When I played this the first time around, I thought this scene looked incredible! And although some of the graphics in this game still stand up well today, it’s definitely showing its age!
I did the #daily#CavesOfQud build. Died horribly (this is the way) quite proud of what I achieved though. It was a fun break from reality. exploring a procedurally generated high tech-low-life fantasy swamp. Love me a good chrome revolver and salve injector.
@jake4480 Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead it's a zombie survival rogue like. Free to play. Expiremental if you like living life in the fast lane, stable if you want to make sure nothing breaks...
finally got around starting that Mass Effect Legendary Edition I got ages ago and it's... humm... a pretty clunky game? It feels cumbersome and slow and the story takes ages so far and I don't see it getting that much better soon.
worse, I am 4 hours in and the only thing I can think of to describe the characters is: "I don't care what happens to these people".

Does Proton for games on Linux work without using Steam? 🤔
I know vaguely of stuff like Lutris, so I'm still wondering how gaming on Linux looks if you're not completely bought into Valve's pseudo-monopoly. That should be in line with Linux thinking, right?
If it does, hell yeah. Then the other trick might be controller stuff outside of Steam, but one step at a time.
@gmr_leon Phew! Not suggesting that you specifically were, but there have been many times where Lutris + getting away from Steam tend to result in the "Thank Goodness for Tiny Underdog Epic".
Every once in a while I forget that Lutris supports more than just EA/UBI/Epic because of it. No harm meant!
