Here’s an out there theory.

First, fibro, ME/CFS, and other have a neuropsychoimmunological component.

The societal burdens placed on women, in addition to a general medical bias against women’s health issues, make small issues become big ones and make big issues ignored far too often.

Second, the age.

There’s a physiological shift in most humans near age 34. That shift may be causal to higher vulnerability to PIS.

My struggles.

It’s a foolish thing to be embarrassed by.

I can’t help my history. I can’t help that I was abused. I can’t help that I was taught, with cruel words and crueler fists, that I am Wrong, that I am unworthy, that I don’t deserve affection or nice things.

I struggle daily with self sabotage. I dissociate and freeze when I’m challenged.

And I know I’m getting better, ever so slowly.

It’s still hard.

I'm on an unrestricted variable electricity tarrif.
My price per kwh is about to go negative for 3 hours*

I can get my oven and air con unit to fight each other, and be paid for it!

*it's so windy that there's nowhere to put all the energy the turbines are generating, so they pay (mostly industry) to use it up. The price shoots up in the evening when everyone starts putting their heating on and cooking dinner. People on a fixed price tarriff are paying ~25p/kWh all day in the UK right now.

I’m happy with my fixed rate CAD 0.10 (€0,068; £0.058) tariff where we have a vertically integrated crown corp generating 95% of its power carbon free at point of production (CFAPOP).

My friends in Montreal are happy with their CAD 0.067 (€0,045; £0.039) with their vertically integrated crown corp generating even higher CFAPOP percentage.

Privatisation makes us worse off.

Worse, encouraging consumption like this is a Jevons paradox. Needless use encourages more use.

And she is delivering a hard message in an antiempathetic way, which was her problem eight years ago as well.

This feels like telling a cancer patient to “get over it.”

I’m saying this as a soon to be candidate. I am using empathy and compassion as the foundations of my campaign, highlighting the work the party I’m upping with has done to improve the lives of my neighbours. Browbeating them is the opposite of helpful.

March 31 was already significant to me because that's the day in 1998 when I helped Navigator become .

Now this day has a whole new meaning for me as a woman. And it's my first that I celebrate publicly since coming out to everyone on June 21 of last year.

To all my siblings, I see you. Even if complete visibility isn't possible for you right now. You still matter. You're still loved. And you're still trans. Never doubt that. 🏳️‍⚧️🫂💖

Time to send up the flag and a call for help.

Someone I know in the who’s and that is a victim of domestic violence. I need to connect that person to resources that can help her get the person assaulting her out of her life.

Fortunately, she is the only one with a legal right to live at her residence. Unfortunately, the abuser is threatening to escalate things.

Apart from calling the police, what other orgs are in the GTA that I can refer her to?

Interestingly, my info processing speed has increased as I’ve gotten older, I’m both incapable of associating faces with names yet have hyperfamiliarity for faces, and I would almost line to get rid of some of the obscenely high empathy I have as it literally hurts.

I think it’s probably tied into the AuDHD and obscenely high empathy.

Names can get in the way of connecting with another person, oddly enough.

    I wish I could offer you the hug you need, though more importantly would be the support and compassion you deserve by virtue of being human.

    It is disheartening that so many of us grew up in abusive situations.

    I would suggest the book “Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents.” It was a hard read for me but extremely insightful as to why I have so many scars and pressure points my peers lack.

    Spoke to a lovely Senegalese man and Ivorian lady on the bus this evening.

    They were talking about and wondered how their coreligionists experiencing midnight sun would fast since there’s no night.

    Pointed out there are accommodations for them. Shared info I learned as a student of religions.

    Things shifted into sharing Malcolm X’s insights gained on the hajj. Mentioned it’s nicer to figure out how all humans are equally human without expensive air travel.
