Lets be clear, Jesse. The #Democrats are not locking up #Republicans. The #criminalJustice system is enforcing the law and prosecuting those who break it. That just happens to be Republicans. By dishonestly reframing the issue, #JesseWatters is trying to turn his party's rampant criminality into a matter of #politicalPersecution in which they are the victims, and their political opponents are the evil oppressors. My wife and I watch Chris Hayes and Rachel Maddow (they no longer overlap days) hoping to get caught up on political events of note for the day, though I also catch up on my DailyKos reading at the same time (and I'm quite bad at multitasking...).

Cain just can't understand how anyone could claim that Trump wants to eliminate our system of #checksAndBalances, or seek retribution on his political and media enemies. It's almost as if Cain has been living on a totally different planet for the past 8 years.
Yeah, there's something very fishy about people's perceptions. "My state is doing great, but the nation is doing terribly..."
Things really don't work like that. Individual states can lag or skip ahead of the national situation, but they can't be complete opposites.
If you know anyone who is thinking/saying anything that looks like this, please take the opportunity to ask them how that's possible, because it's not.

As I implied in my reply to @pa27, I think we need both the videos and the professional assessment to break through to the target audience.
With both, the persecution complex excuses of the rabid right will fall flatter than tissue paper.
What's even more important, however, is repetition. Only what is repeated sufficiently will break through. It's why #FoxPropaganda and it's peers pound on the bullshit of the day.
The various for-profit media that the #FoxPropaganda watching regressive-right will never ever trust have been worked over by so called conservatives to the point where they no longer can see how biased against the center-left they have become.
The same goes for too many Democrats in critical governmental positions.
Nothing is more ludicrous than the idea that our heavily militarized borders are “open,” yet millions of Americans believe it because #propaganda, when consistently repeated, is highly effective. #immigration
It's quite difficult to undue the damage of #FoxPropaganda and the rest of the regressive right echo chamber, but we can and should push back on the lies.
It's important that we NOT repeat the lies.
Just state the truth along with who is pushing the lie, why they are pushing the lie and most importantly our values; people move to protect and feed their families; they have a right to do so and we welcome hard working people in our communities no matter where they come from.
While facts are irrelevant to MAGA cultists with their heads filled with apocalyptic rhetoric by #FoxPropaganda, the reality is immigration can be effectively managed and be a net benefit to everyone.
MAGA Republicans in Congress have no interest in taking obvious steps to better manage immigration; they want more chaos to feed their anti-immigrant propaganda.
