The Spanish, Irish & Norwegian govts announced Wed that they would recognize a #Palestinian state, saying there would be no #peace in the #MiddleEast w/o it.
Israel denounced the move as giving aid to its enemy #Hamas.
The coordinated announcements are purely symbolic — but not w/o some power.
In response, Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz ordered the immediate recall of the Israeli ambassadors to #Spain, #Ireland & #Norway. “I am sending a clear message today: #Israel will not be complacent against those who undermine its sovereignty & endanger its #security.”
The #UnitedStates govt reiterated its position that recognizing a #PalestinianState was premature & must be the result of direct negotiations between Israel & the #Palestinians.
#Celtic#LegendaryWednesday: The liminal nature of #Conaire (later as "Conaire the Great" High King of #Ireland) is immediately understood at his birth. His mother, Mes Buachalla, who is herself connected to the #otherworldly áes síde, conceived Conaire through a union with a supernatural bird-warrior, #Nemglan, who placed a geis on his son to not harm birds.

“To put it bluntly, climate change is already making life shittier. Wetter winters are flooding farms, cancelling football matches, overflowing sewage systems and [making] groceries more expensive.”
“Israel has said it is recalling its ambassadors to Ireland and Norway following the news that, along with Spain, the two countries would recognise Palestinian statehood.”
Instead of putting up "angry" performances wrt student protests and ICC's issuance of an arrest warrant for Netanyahu, Biden had better listen to what the Irish Prime Minister had to say when Ireland announced the recognition of the State of Palestine (along with #Spain and #Norway).
That's how politicians, who actually respect the intelligence of the people whom they serve, deal with political issues, and how they honor their homeland's love for freedom.
Today #Ireland recognises the state of Palestine.
We believe that recognition will contribute to peace and reconciliation in the Middle East. @palestine
