Open source agriculture is a movement that aims to hack the farming industry by sharing knowledge, tools, and practices among farmers and enthusiasts. Some examples of open source agriculture projects are FarmBot, OpenAg, and Open Source Ecology. These projects use open hardware, software, and data to create more sustainable, efficient and accessible forms of agriculture.

What better way to celebrate than to buy a copy of " for Projects" from your favorite local bookstore? If they don't have it, you can get free shipping this weekend from Bookshop.org. While you're there, pick up another armful of books for your to-read pile. Support authors, small businesses, and your dragon-like book hoard all at once!

FOSS licenses come in two approaches. The distinction is who is granted the most freedom:

  • in "copyleft" licenses the emphasis is on the end-user, ensuring that they are always passed the four freedoms;

  • in "permissive" licenses, the emphasis is on other developers/programmers, including allowing them to not pass on the four freedoms.

Is disappointing people still mistake this as being a difference between and because each has always supported both types.

BlueSky is cosplaying
https://rys.io/en/167.html

> Almost exactly six months after got taken over by a petulant edge lord, people seem to be done with grieving the communities this disrupted and connections they lost, and are ready, eager even, to jump head-first into another toxic relationship. This time with BlueSky.

tl;dr:

  • seems designed to get secondarily centralized in the "reach" layer (as they call it)
  • moderation is an afterthought

@rysiek they must have a very nice exit strategy as any good StartUp.

But why bother?

If you compare any product with an implementation all that's missing is a multi-million marketing strategy.

Asset sellers, serious question: how do use your work without "redistribution" of raw assets? Do you require all contributors or source builders to own a copy themselves? Are they incompatible? Do they have to be converted into a format to prevent extraction?

Switched away from using the f-droid repository for apps because their apps are not signed by the developers of the apps but only by f-droid.

Now I'm using Obtainium to install and update apps from GitHub and co. Surprisingly easy with a nice UI.

Please boost for reach: Are any of your vendors supplying SaaSBOM's yet? If so, are there any public examples you can point me to? Happy to keep one private too if required, DMs open.

kurtseifried,

@malwarejake just a note this is on my project roadmaps at the @cloudsecurityalliance because it turns out the cloud is all (who would have guessed?) but SBOM is still in its infancy.
