I was supposed to share the stage with @niktrip, but she won’t be able to make it, so I’ll be presenting alone.
I’m a bit stressed because it’s my first time at LGM, I have no idea how many people will be there, what the vibe is, and above all, I’ll have to speak in English! I hope people will be nice and forgiving 😅

I'm happy to say that ever since I started using Flatpak's desktop #Penpot package, its become one of my favorite programs and I use it every day day now. And it just got a slick new upgrade. So now I finally have a #clojure application in my daily repertoire.
Way better than #Figma, which has become total garbage ever since #Adobe bought it.

Not only did I have time for #Inkscape, there was some for #Penpot as well. These are all nice #FreeSoftware packages that work together well. There is an important distinction between graphics production and layout, and I hope I helped you figure it out.

I lost a month's worth of work due to middle mouse click paste.
(Panning in @penpot uses middle mouse click. I used Chromium, to isolate it from my Firefox session. Chromium always has middle click on, regardless of desktop config. Pasting in the middle of a layout messes up the layout. Moving items from one document to another is a cut and paste.)
I cut/pasted into a new board, panned (& it pasted), I hit ctrl-z to undo (2× on accident) & it undid paste — and #Penpot doesn't have history yet.
I started using #Penpot as part of the design process for my sites and projects. It's a delight to use! I had no idea that it was going to be this good. 🤯
It's free and open, and you can self-host it. The product is kind of like Figma. As someone who's not familiar with using design tools at all, it was really easy to jump into!
