Finally! Working tires. Replacement was very easy on these, compared with wrestling with road tires. Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires, which make significantly less "rrrrr noise" and roll much better on pavement. Plus aren't from 1996. #BikeTooter#tires#cycling#restoration

Do you remember retread tires? I think you can still get recaps, though I don't buy them anymore. Back in the day though, it was all I could afford and there were times when I would buy one tire. Now days, except for special circumstances when I replace tires, I replace all of them. An area where recaps are still very prevalent, is commercial trucking, because truck tires are so expensive. That is why you see truck treads all over the highways.

Unfortunately the tire name seems quite misleading. Actually "super slow" would be more fitting. Too bad.
On the other hand: if you are looking for an above average puncture resistant tread or equally good wet grip, these could be the tires for you. Sounds like a nice wet winter commuting tire.

Some countries recycle a majority of them, and one Nigerian entrepreneur is aiming to get hers to do the same.
It's purposefully designed to make #repair economically unviable!

This will mean less air pollution and less #microplastics pollution. Car makers balk, but this is still better for them than a big push for public transit.
