March 31 was already significant to me because that's the day in 1998 when I helped #Netscape Navigator become #OpenSource.
Now this day has a whole new meaning for me as a #transgender woman. And it's my first #TransDayOfVisibility that I celebrate publicly since coming out to everyone on June 21 of last year.
To all my #trans siblings, I see you. Even if complete visibility isn't possible for you right now. You still matter. You're still loved. And you're still trans. Never doubt that. 🏳️⚧️🫂💖
you can live to get old ok? just so you know. I know that's not terribly big to anybody but us, but I think it’s important to know when it may not feel a given. time passes and the world is sometimes shit but it's also kind and surprising with decades of this wonderfulness behind me and more to come.
For my contribution to #TransDayOfVisibility, I once wrote a big, emotional blog post about the unique suckitude of being #transmasc. I sat on it a bit and realized that it could basically be summarized in two charts.
For #transdayofvisibility we put together small blurbs for five indie SFF books by trans authors that come personally recommended from one of our members!
I'm TapTap, I'm 33, gender fluid, and after a tame but conservative upbringing I finally feel safe & able to get clothes that feel right to me.
Please make yourself VISIBLE by registering to #VOTE and participating in every election you can! A lot of gross policies are very local, where your vote counts much more. "Both sides" is a form of vote suppression
Block anyone who tries to discourage you or others from voting. Monsters.

Trans people are mappers, and hackers, and cartographers, and have always been a part of the OpenStreetMap community.
The OpenStreetMap project is creating a freely licenced map of the world, based on how things actually are, based on how they act, and appear, not based on what some government says. OSM is trans positive.
Turns out I have lost like all the pictures of myself pre-T I once had, but I wanted to put together something of a transition timeline. One of the last pre-T pictures I had, from my undergrad graduation, and one about 10 years later. This is a #transdayofvisibility shoutout to all my fellow transmascs who can't seem to grow facial hair or sing bass or develop Manly Muscles, HRT notwithstanding. At my most polished, I look like someone's geeky dad, and I'm proud of it.
Tomorrow is #transdayofvisibility and it's not lost on me that it coincides with Easter this year. (Insert "She is risen!" Jokes here).
I'll be spending the day with my wife's extended family. All of them are aware I'm going by Jenn now. My wife has agreed that's only who she will address me as, and I plan to politely correct anybody who says otherwise. None of them have been rude to me exactly, but I have felt somewhat isolated since they all found out my inner truth. They're all the types who just...don't talk about things and hope they go away.
So for my part for the day I plan to be visible myself and defend who I am as necessary. I'm so over hiding, because I'm proud of who I am and who I'm becoming.
Sending love and solidarity to my fellow trans and gender nonconforming humans. Happy #transdayofvisibility ! May we continue to elevate each others voices and live vibrantly!

Today's #pixel_dailies prompt was "calm", and it's also #ShrimpSunday, and more importantly it's #transdayofvisibility ... so wow, that's a lot. But this shrimp is taking it all in stride, they've got a very comfy-looking blanket.
While a bit late, I wish to all of you a fine trans visibility day. However that might be to you. I wish all of you the best in your lives and situations and I hope to learn and understand from all of you how to be someone you can believe in and trust so that we can all move forward together.
Protect trans kids.
Protect trans adults.
Show the trans people in your life they you're there for them through your actions, and not just today! #transdayofvisibility
