The Greek government has announced a $15.4 million project to make its beaches more accessible. The country's tourism minister, Vassilis Kikilias, described equal access to the sea as an "inalienable human right" when he announced the program. Its centrepiece is a solar-powered ramp with a sliding chair that can move beach-goers into the water and can be independently operated by wheelchair users.

A few days ago I presented a photo of the footpath leading down into the natural entrance of the caverns. Here is a view looking into the large chamber. This was before the conversion to all LED lighting which is supposed to be quite nice.
