Ante el hecho de que #X cancelara la cuenta del #YouTuber Maher Musalli, después de publicar este video sobre #Palestina, nos unimos a la acción de difundirlo y romper el cerco.
Going back to old ones many times they feel so much easier. It's almost sad going back and finding out they aren't as much of a challenge as I remember.
Who else has experiences like this/what were they?
@pluralistic has written and talked about Ad Blockers being one of the biggest, successful consumer boycotts in history. Popular #Youtuber, MoistCr1TiKaL (penguinz0), has a wonderful video rant about how much ad blockers are needed to use the web. "Internet Is Unusable Without Ad Block" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dab8sKg8Ko8#Twitch#enshittification
Listening to Robyn's "Call Your Girlfriend", and I'm thinking.
I'm thinking about a country cover.
Because country songs with women singers are much more from the point of view of the cheated-upon woman and the lengths she's willing to go to for retribution. Never the other woman.
Ideally I'd like a #lavalier / lapel mic with a line-in and a lightweight #voiceRecorder with expandable SD memory, or a decent wireless lapel mic that can connect to a usb-c android phone (or voice recorder). I have a Zoom already with four xlr ports, but it's really heavy and I don't generally need something THAT heavy duty for walking-around-outside vlogs. If there's a wireless mic that's good quality then awesome, but barring that at least a line-in mic that I can stick on my shirt collar (assuming I'm not filming something topless lmao) and have it pick up decent audio outside, or even during a convention. I'm hoping to keep everything under $200 (mic plus voice recorder) or under $100 for the mic, but I can go a little higher if it's really good quality.
I've tried a variety of <$30 lavalier mics already and they all kinda suck. I'm hoping if I can find recommendations from a real live human who's actually used it, not bought-out reviews from the manufacturers themselves, I'll have better results. Would be nice to have the new mic+recorder sooner than later, but by Vidcon in June at the absolute latest. Thanks in advance!
If I set a livestream to "manual" ad insertions and never insert ads manually, will the VOD still have ads?
Basically, I want to run ZERO, not "conservative" ads while live, but I don't want to have to manually put ads in the VOD after. "conservative" auto ads is still more than I'd like.
Hey I really need to find more #youtuber friends on here, who here does gaming stuff and wants to talk a bit of shop?
I have a Stream Deck I want to set up, some questions about YT Shorts, and I need some custom emojis/merch some day and don't really know anyone who does what I do on youtube to talk about it with. Let's chat!
peertube while it still needs work, atleast the content library is getting better.
When I was using it back in october there was content but not to the extent of what's on their now. It's almost identical to the early 2010s of the type of content you can find. Just emptier comment sections.
No #ads , and no #adblocker pop-up blockers. it's great. It's also great the type of content that can be found on there if you do more specific searches like for idk.. Sonic, Sanic, Flandre scarlet, touhou, Pokemon, Naruto, Mario and even Minecraft might return something these days on Peertube.
however they are still lacking on modern stuff, particularly the kind to draw interest from #tiktokers . Or you're modern day #YouTuber or twitch user.
Creators, get to work. Pick a Peertube server and get your content on peertube .
YouTube has been trying to get me to start a podcast for a while.. I figure, I'm already doing a radio show on CKCU FM, I might as well record video / behind the scenes and publish that as a 'podcast' two birds, stoned, etc

Because we're a media organization (at least from a company perspective), we have to pay through_the_nose for liability isnurance (which is usually about $4,200 a year).
Then we have to pay for insuring our camera gear too, which is usually another $4,000.
Add that on top of a month where everyone gets paid three times and oft.
7️⃣7️⃣5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ views for Dr Becky Smethurst's video on the effect of Laniakea on Cosmology. Such a huge interest for such a niche subject; what a fantastic work is doing Dr. Becky!
I stream tons and I don't plan to stop that, But when I'm not streaming or on long hiatuses I'm working on background projects which can be found below 👇
Anyone got an easy way to post automatically on #mastodon when you go live with Youtube? And Twitch I guess, but much more things seem to support posting for Twitch than youtube and I'd rather use one with both
Tomorrow's video is going to be me playing an Xmas themed Doom 2 Mod. It's part one of two and I decided to go without any commentary this time because reasons.
Then another indie game demo will be featured on Tuesday.
I'm currently working on five upcoming videos, including the planning stages of doing a retro game review of the N64 game "Tetrisphere".
So many YouTubers create all kinds of merchandise, and frankly, I think all those mugs and t-shirts are getting a bit old.
But at the supermarket today, I came by the new Puck cheese, and if that is you @anderspuck, I am truly impressed. I have not tasted it yet, but of course I expect a Black Sea salty flavor with notes of gunpowder.
Are there any bluetooth headsets with 'studio quality' mics so to speak?
I have a Audio-Technica BPHS1 set, I'd like a not-in-the-PC-room set of headphones for streaming that are as close to that as I can get without a crazy price
